This version is a little different from the one submitted by Rob —— a little
more complete. I've seen the band play it like this. I basically fingerpick
this song during the VERSES and I usually strum & fingerpick the chords during
the CHORUS . . . adds a subtleness. Wherever I have an X for the chord
explanation you can actually play the note (if you wish), the X just makes the
chord name correct. I give this to some students to work on various
fingerpicking paterns, though there is not set pattern for this song.

**Note** Chords change a little in the Chorus. Verses are the same progression.
Have fun . . . Ian

{Intro} —— C    Gadd4/B    Am7    F6/9    Gsus4

{VERSE 1}
[C]so lately,[Gadd4/B] been won—d'rin'[Am7] who will be there[F6/9] to take my[Gsus4]place.
[C]when I'm gone,[Gadd4/B] you'll need love[Am7] to light the [F6/9] shadows on your[Gsus4]face.
[C]   If a great[Gadd4/B]wave shall fall,[Am7]  it'll fall [F6/9]up on us [Gsus4] all,
[C] Then between [Gadd4/B] the sand and stone,[Am7] could you make [F6/9]it on your own.

{CHORUS}
[C] If I could, [G] then I would,[Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will go.
[C] Way up high, [G] or down low, [Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will go.

{VERSE 2}*same chord progression*
And maybe, I'll find out, the way to make it back some day.
To watch you, to guide you throught the darkest of your days.
If a great wave shall fall, it'll fall upon us all.
Then I hope there's someone out there who can bring me back to you.

{CHORUS}
[C] If I could, [G] then I would,[Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will go.
[C] Way up high, [G] or down low, [Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will —— {*Goes to Bridge*}

{BRIDGE}
—— [Am7] Go . . .
                   [F] run away with my heart[G]
                   [Em] run away with my hope [Am7]
	           [F] run away with my love [G] [Em]

{D.S.Coda}
[C] I know now, [Gadd4/B] just quite how [Am7]my life and love[F6/9] might still go[Gsus4] on.
[C] In your heart, [Gadd4/B] in your mind,[Am7] I'll stay with you [F] for all of time.

{CHORUS}
[C] If I could, [G] then I would,[Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will go.
[C] Way up high, [G] or down low, [Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will go.

{OUTRO—CHORUS}
[C] If I could [G] turn back time, [Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will go.
[C] If I could [G] make you mine, [Am7] I'll go wher[F]ever you will go
[C]   [Am7]    I'll go wher[F]ever you will go . . . [C]   [G]   [Am7]  [F] . . .
