Jack Johnson — Better Together (ver 3) Chords

  Rate this tab:
These chords sound pretty good with the music, I doubt they are the
ones Jack uses but in my opinion they work very well with the song. Strum
pattern I use is up down up DOWN (stress the last strum) and I realize
that he taps or smacks the strings instead of the last down strum, but
this is just the way I do it.

No Capo Standard tuning: EADGBe

Verse
   F Am
There's no combination of words
       Dm C
I could put on the back of a postcard
   A#/Bb Am
No song that I could sing
   Gm C
But I can try for your heart,
          F Am Dm C
our dreams, and they are made out of real things
            A#/Bb Am
like a shoe box of photographs
         Gm C
with sepia—toned loving
   F Am
Love is the answer
               Dm C
at least for most of the questions in my heart, like
           A#/Bb Am
Why are we here? And where do we go?
         Gm C
And how come it's so hard?
      F Am
It's not always easy and
           Dm C
sometimes life can be deceiving
 A#/Bb Am Gm C
I'll tell you one thing, it's always better when we're together

Chorus
A#/Bm C
Mmmm, It's always better when we're together
A#/Bm C
Yeah we'll look at them stars and we're together
A#/Bm C
Well, it's always better when we're together
A#/Bm C
Yeah it's always better when we're together

F, Am, Dm, C, A#/Bb, Am, Gm, C x2

Verse 2
     F Am
And all of these moments
 Dm C
just might find their way into my dreams tonight,
 A#/Bb Am
But I know that they'll be gone
 Gm C
when the morning light sings
 F Am
and brings new things
 Dm C
for tomorrow night you see
 A#/Bb Am
that they'll be gone too,
 Gm C
too many things I have to do
                   F Am
But if all of these dreams might find their way
     Dm C
into my day to day scene
   A#/Bb Am
I'd be under the impression
       Gm C
i was somewhere in between
          F
With only two,
          Am
Just me and you,
             Dm C
Not so many things we got to do
    A#/Bb Am
or places we got to be
           Gm
We'll sit beneath the mango tree, now,

Chorus
A#/Bb C
Yeah It's always better when we're together
A#/Bb C
Mmmm, we're somewhere in between together
A#/Bb C
Well, it's always better when we're together
A#/Bb C
Yeah, it's always better when we're together

F, Am, Dm, C, A#/Bb, Am, Gm, C x2

Gm C
I believe in memories
              Gm C
they look so, so pretty when I sleep
         Gm C
Hey now, and when I wake up,
            Gm C
you look so pretty sleeping next to me
             Gm C
But there is not enough time,
             Gm C
There is no, no song I could sing
               Gm C
and there is no combination of words I could say
              Gm C
but I will still tell you one thing

We're Better together
