Alright, for this song, I had to simplify the main riff to keep it from looking too
For Guitars 1 and 2, most of their parts are played as diads (chords using 2 strings), but
is usually switched back and forth between the 2 notes. If I were to tab this that way,
would have to put a ton of parenthesis around notes in the majority of the riffs, and the
emphasis is fairly random, so it just would have been a pain to do. Therefore, I've
this the way it's done live, where Mike and Brad just strum the diads normally, without
either note. It may not be the most "correct" way of tabbing this song, but it was
the only feasible way for me to do it. Just listen to the album and you'll
a pretty good idea on which notes are being emphasized. This song is played a bit
live, Brad and Mike like to change chords on offbeats sometimes instead of doing
as
8th notes, and during Guitar 1's parts when it plays the 7th fret on the G and B
Brad likes to add in the 9th fret on E as well. Guitar 1 plays throughout the song,
2 is the rhythm guitar during the chorus, and Guitars 3 and 4 come in for the heavy
during the bridge and appear again for the octave part during the outro. I would've tabbed
3 and 4 as a single guitar, but during the outro, one guitar comes in 4 beats earlier 
the other (since one guitar is panned to each side,
easy to notice), so I had to notate them seperately. One little note on the ending, for
4, let the last octave ring out, vibrato the notes by shaking the neck of the guitar up
down, and then let off with your fretting hand and slide your fingers down the neck to
that scraping sound.On the live version, Brad plays Guitar 1 for the entire song except
the outro, where he plays Guitar 4. Mike plays Guitar 2 for the choruses and outro, and
3 (or 4) for the bridge.
