The last song on Minutes to Midnight has to be Linkin Park's magnum opus when it comes
the use of multiple guitar tracks. There's acoustic guitar, 2 rhythm guitars, a
tracked solo, and a 3rd rhythm guitar that comes in near the end (There are a few other
with 5 guitar tracks, but this song has the most variation between parts). The overall tone
the guitars on this track suggests that they were all recorded on a Fender Stratocaster
possibly a Jaguar as Brad had one of those in the studio as well), so you're going to
a light distortion/overdrive for guitars 2, 3, and 4, and to get the right tone, try
this song on a guitar with single coil pickups. This song is also played much
live: Mike plays the acoustic part at the beginning, then plays Guitar 3's part for the
pre—chorus and chorus (on the acoustic guitar instead of an electric), then switches to
playing Guitar 5 (on an electric guitar) for the rest of the song. Brad plays the Guitar
and 4 parts (2 for the first half of the song, 4 for the second). Mike's rhythm parts
the are quite dumbed—down from how they were played on the album version. This tab is
the album version, I'll make a live version tab sooner or later seeing as it's
different from the album version. Also, I tried to notate the solo the way Brad plays it 
and he plays the entire first part of the solo on the G string. I
find it easier to play it on the G and B strings and not having to slide around so much,
this is the way he plays it, play it as you see fit.
