Hercules — The Gospel Truth
Capo 1

The intro is easy enough:
e|——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
B|——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
G|——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
D|——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
A|——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————|
E|————5——5———3——4——5————————————————————————————————————————|
Play that to this:

We are the muses, goddesses of the arts, and proclaimers of heroes.
      Heroes like Hercules!
Honey, you mean HUNK—ules. Whoo—hoo, I'd like to make some sweet music with him...
Our story actually begins long before Hercules... many eons ago...

A D7
Back when the world was new, the planet Earth was down on its luck.
	              F E7
And everywhere gigantic brutes called Titans ran amok!
                 A D7
It was a nasty place! There was a mess wherever you stepped.
                           F E7
Where chaos reigned and earthquakes and volcanoes never slept!

                    C C7
And then along came Zeus! He hurled his thunderbolt— He zapped!
      C C7
Locked those suckers in a vault! They're trapped!
           G D
And on his own stopped chaos in its tracks.
                       A
And that's the gospel truth!
         A D E7
The guy was too type A to just relax.

			     A D7
And that's the world's first dish: Zeus tamed the globe while still in his youth.
                     F A
Though, honey, it may seem imposs'ble— That's the gospel truth!
                  F E A
On Mount Olympus life was neat and smooth as sweet vermouth
                      F E A
Though, honey, it may seem inposs'ble— That's the gospel truth!

End on 'E'

Please, PLEASE, post any corrections you see fit. It took me a while to find out
that the F was in there, and the "Along came Zeus" part is probably wrong, but it
was the best I could do. Again, PLEASE post any corrections. Sorry if the chords
aren't over the correct lyrics, the thing is hard to line up. If you listen to the
song, you'll probably find it out.
