Subject: TAB: Ashokan Farewell (was: Re: REQ: "Ashokan Farewell")

This is a lovely fiddle tune that sounds great on guitar. It was the
theme song to an (American) public television series called _The
(American) Civil War_.  It's a waltz with a very soulful melody — don't
rush it. Notes in parentheses are ``optional.'' — I don't think
they're in the original, but they sound good IMO. The chord
progression is pretty straightforward, but note the unusual vi — V7
progression, instead of the usual ii — V7. If there are any mistakes
or questions, please email or post.
