CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING — JAGGER—RICHARDS
Following honky tonk women here is another tune with syncopated riffs and
instrumental prolongations. This is the tale of Romeo and Juliet seen by our rockers.
Juliet is reluctant and the disappointed Romeo is vociferating. The tab is divided
into three parts :
— the main theme with intro, verse and chorus
— the middle jazzy part with a saxophone (this saxophone is not tabbed here)!
— Mick Taylor's solo
This is the full tab of the entire song.
FIRST PART:
The first part is played with a lead guitar tuned in OPEN G, that is from low
to high : D G D G B D.
The rhythm guitar is in standard tuning and plays full chords in a staccato way
in the verse part.
In the verse part I noted the chord for each stroke :
C : 8 10 10 9 8 8
C#: 9 11 11 10 9 9
D : 10 12 12 11 10 10
G : 3 5 5 4 3 3
F : 1 3 3 2 1 1
In the chorus part simply play them slowly.
