"Chordsolo" (Francis)
This solo excists of chords with the 'D—shape' and the 'E—shape'.
To experience what I mean just grab a D—chord in second position
and shift it to the tenth position. Now you have a Bb—chord.
Only the three top—strings of these chords are used. I wrote the
beats above the first two bars (as I often do) so you can read the
rhythm. The first chord begins with a slide but a very quick one.
It's called an appoggiatura. The Dutch word for it means something
like forebeat and sounds not so sophisticated. It means that you have
to play a very short note and that the time for it is taken from the
next note. Just don't play it as a quaver but as a small part of a
quaver. If this isn't clear just let me talk nonsense and listen
carefully to the record to hear what I mean.
