Toby Keith — Dream Walkin Chords

  Rate this tab:
Dream Walkin' (From the album "Dream Walkin'")
——————————————————————————————————————

Tuning: Standard

Like a lot of country songs the lead guitar plays a huge role in defining
the song, but here I chose to only write out the chords in an arrangement
for a single acoustic guitar player. There are some quick changes, which
I refer to as "accent chords" but you'll get the idea. Just listen to the
song for the timing and the changes.

Key:
/    = slide up
\    = slide down
b    = bend (whole step)
b^   = bend (1/2 step)
b^^  = bend (1 1/2 steps)
pb   = pre—bend
r    = release—bend
t^ = tap with righthand finger
h    = hammer—on
p    = pull—off
~    = Vibrato
*    = Natural Harmonic
#(#) = Trill
**   = Artificial Harmonic
x = Dead notes (no pitch)
P.M. = Palm mute (— —> underneath indicates which notes)
(\)  = Dive w\bar
(/)  = Release w\bar
Tp   = Tap w\plectrum

Intro Chords: F—C—Dm—Bb x2

Verse 1:
           F                 C
She left a yellow rose and a long neck bottle,
     Dm              Bb
On a table beside my bed.
       F                             C
With a short little note that said I had a good time,
       Dm                  Bb        Am—Bb
It was written in lipstick red.
Bb                  C               Bb
She didn't sign her name I wonder,
                 C           Am—Bb
If that a little secret that she keeps.
             C                  Dm       C—F
Ooo... she's walkin' around in my sleep.

Chrous:
F              Dm
Dream walkin', pillow talkin'.
Bb                    C
She's callin' my name again.
Dm             Bb             F                 C
Day's breakin' I ain't wakin' up, I'm sleepin' in.
         Bb                C                         F—C—Dm—Bb
I'm on a roll now, I gotta know how this dream ends.

Verse 2:
            F                     C
She took my new sunglasses and my old jean jacket,
        Dm                     Bb
And she never even bothered to ask.
          F                            C
You could say I haven't seen her since late last summer,
    Dm                    Bb        Am—Bb
But every night she comes back.
Bb        C                        Bb
Just like smoke through the keyhole,
          C      Am—Bb
She slips in so silently.
             C                  Dm       C—F
Ooo... she's walkin' around in my sleep.

Day's breakin' I ain't wakin' up, I'm sleepin' in.
         Bb                C                   F
I'm on a roll now, I gotta know how this dream ends.

Bridge:
C                Dm                Bb              C

         Am     Bb           F                 C    Bb—C X4
I'll be losin' my mind 'till she comes back to me.
